Thanks for visiting the “new” seanpatrickgriffin.net. The site experienced a server failure from which we have not yet been able to recover much site-specific material dating to the start of the site in June 2011 and it remains quite an amateurish mess.

We are still attempting to locate missing data, including and especially analyses of current (and often ongoing) events relating to my research agendas. A brief look at the respective Facebook pages for Black Brothers, Inc: The Violent Rise and Fall of Philadelphia’s Black Mafia (Milo, 2005/07) and Gaming the Game: The Story Behind the NBA Betting Scandal and the Gambler Who Made It Happen (Barricade, 2011) offers a sense of how much material has been lost (i.e, many of the posts from the former site were offered in synopsis form on the Facebook pages, complete with links to this site).  Visitors of the former version of the site will note we are trying to recreate the same template, which most – including the host! – found incredibly user-friendly (especially for searching archived posts). Whatever dated materials are currently found on the site are simply imported posts from my various blogs. Importantly, please know these may include outdated links and/or embedded media, and in many cases there have been formatting issues as we have incorporated data from outside sources. Also note that as we find posts from the “old” site, these will be uploaded not based on importance but based on convenience.  Please bear with us as we attempt in earnest to bring this interactive resource back to life, and as we attempt to make it more visually appealing (for now we’re far more focused on usefulness).
