- A total of 76 suspicious alerts across 29 countries and on eight different sports
were reported to the relevant authorities for further investigation in Q3 2022. This figure may be revised in future depending on the outcome of any ongoing
investigations.
2. The Q3 2022 total is a decrease of 15% when compared to the revised Q2 2022
total of 89, but is an increase of 17% when compared to the Q3 total of 2021 which
saw 65 alerts.
3. Europe, with 37 alerts made up 49% of the total reported, followed by Asia with 8
alerts which made up 11%.
4. 16 esports alerts reported represents more than three times the number of esports
alerts reported during the first half of 2022 (5 alerts). This increase largely reflects the recent growth in IBIA membership, as
multiple operators with a strong esports focus have joined the association.
5. 13 football alerts reported represents a 60% decrease on the 32 reported in Q2
2022, and is a decrease of 28% when compared to the Q3 total of 2021 which
saw 18 alerts.
