Featured in bonus segment of Whistleblower podcast re sociology of NBA scandal betting

In addition to my commentary and analysis presented in Episodes 2 and 3 of the Whistleblower podcast,  a stand-alone bonus segment (“Head Fakes”) is posted featuring my assessment of the logistics and sociology of the betting on games Tim Donaghy officiated (audio clip embedded below).  Of note, the betting mechanics further discredit referee Donaghy’s claims he used “inside information” to bet successfully on games he officiated (as opposed to influencing games with his on-court behavior).  Needless to say, I examine all of this in great detail in Gaming the Game: The Story Behind the NBA Betting Scandal and the Gambler Who Made It Happen.
